Today could have gone a lot better. The specialist kept me waiting, shuffling about into no less than three different exam rooms, for almost two hours. She was so flighty I had to keep repeating things so they finally sunk in. She was overly obsessed with my weight. And yet, she's local (no more hour-long bus rides each way) and I can get quarterly bloodwork done there, so for now she's my go-to for Certain Things. Besides, I love my primary care doctor and my ophthalmologist (whom I'm seeing Friday) and my ob/gyn so if I don't like a specialist or two it's no biggie. And England is in the Euro football finals, first time in like 50+ years they've made it this far in a major tourney! So that helped. This helps too:
