Silly Site o' the Day

My new normal continues, as today was my first full in-office day since I left on March 10, 2020. Only one fellow exec assistant was there, and she commandeered more of my time than I thought she would as I'll be helping her with a project (again, in-office) next week. But I didn't mind that much, once I got into the building (I'd forgotten how utterly loud Manhattan can be). For the most part it was a fun day seeing folks in person whom I've only been in contact with over MS Teams, and at least a few unexpected colleagues greeted me. Also, I didn't need most of the peripherals Robin was kind enough to drag in (he and I had our quarterly blood draws at the medical office a few blocks from my company's HQ), as the Thunderbolt worked beautifully and had plenty of USB ports to hold everything.  My new laptop has arrived but, as the old one didn't give me a lick of trouble today either, I'm disinclined to make the switch until next week. I might even have them do it in the office while I make do with a loaner for a few hours. I haven't decided yet, my head is still so awhirl. Doing it again tomorrow and Thursday! And I felt pretty safe most of the time, the COVID numbers being down and all, although I'll pretty much have to keep up with the Artlarntic to find out the real parodic story there.
