Silly Site o' the Day

So many things I'd forgotten - the noise of The City. The recklessness of drivers, which I think has increased since the pandemic. The overwhelming scent of perfume virtually taking over the previous ubiquity of marijuana (which itself had supplanted that distinct odor of urine, all in all a good thing). Food trucks! The Thai food truck on 53rd and Park was where I bought my lunch today, as nobody seemed to be around to take me out for Admin Professionals Day. But the food was great (and our office stocks each floor's pantry with what they call a "Thrive Cafe," everything from fresh fruit and flavored seltzer to salty snacks to various dairy items... oh, the cheese...) and I spent lots of time reacquainting myself with colleagues, lots of hugs all around, and one of my partners who was in gave me some much-appreciated cash to celebrate the day, so all in all pretty good. The only bad thing was that I decided to migrate a lot of Outlook data into my in-box, which kind of broke down and wouldn't let me send any email, and it took about an hour at the end of the day for the in-house IT guy to fix it. Could be worse, this nonsense was my own making, the machine hasn't crashed all week, and the new one has arrived and is awaiting a data migration adventure next week (courtesy of the same in-house IT guy who helped me today), when I'll be coming in at least two more days. But first I need to get through one more in-office day tomorrow. And I'm bummed that I missed the office's "wine down Wednesday" party, but time got away from me. Say, what time is it anyway?
