Wholly Trinity 2021 Redux

It's that time again! Here are my traditional Christmas Eve posts:

"I Hear People Singing, It Must Be Christmastime"

"So That's How He Got the Crown of Thorns!"

and the Dickensian one for which I post a chart on Facebook every year, "And You Shall Be Upheld in More Than This." Although I'm considering updating the chart next year with a "new" one, 1964's A Carol for Another Christmas TV movie, written by Rod Serling (and directed by Joe Mankiewicz) as a modernization the original Dickens story as well as a plea for global cooperation. It was the first TV special developed to promote the United Nations and educate viewers about its mission. Originally shown on ABC in 1964, it wasn't seen again for 48 years, until TCM found and showed it in 2012, and they've shown it again this year. Among other things, it features quite the liberal and anti-war bent and a scary amazing tour de force by Peter Sellers in the role of the Imperious Me (a very Trumpian character). All the actors worked for scale, and IBM sponsored it commercial-free. Here's more about it. It's on HBO Max if you want to catch it; I only saw the last half hour or so, and therefore don't feel qualified to fully review it until I see the whole thing. May you have a peaceful, happy, and safe holiday season.
