Silly Site o' the Day

White Rabbits! Having slept after all through the last of the late night festivities in Yonkers, we ventured out again this morning, when it wasn't all that humid yet, to get a few more bits and bobs. Unfortunately, unlike yesterday, we saw way too many locals wearing masks improperly (after all this time they don't know how to do it yet?) or just unmasked altogether. No wonder the Bronx is spiking! But I'm trying not to think about it. I'm venturing into Manhattan on Wednesday for the first time since March of last year, to have lunch with one of my partners who's retiring at the end of September; and I've made plans to meet other fully-vaccinated friends at the NY Botanical Gardens later this month. Baby steps towards renewing some sort of social life, but baby steps are all we should be taking now anyway. And in the meantime, the Olympics are still on, although I missed the telekinetic tennis finals.
