After we watch the first World Cup match today (and yesterday's two quarter-final matches were pretty exciting, plus I got all my ironing done!) we're off to Connecticut to see our friends Tom and Lili, attend a block party and spend the overnight at their place. I'm very psyched, and it's about time Robin experienced this bit of Americana. Meanwhile, I'm getting caught up on Siobhan Thompson's Anglophenia YouTube channel, which includes this terrific overview of British accents, a subject of frequent discussion at the Riggs Residence:
