When I'd made the cardiologist appointment I figured I'd go from the office at lunchtime, but it's closed today in anticipation of the move, so it was a long 90-minute bus ride down and another 90 minutes back for essentially a half-hour visit. I was given a monitor to wear night and day to detect any atrial fibrillation, which as far as I know I haven't had since that first (and only) episode umpteen years ago, but this will be definitive. Not even going to start until Friday, too much to think about the next couple of days. Also cutting back on a couple blood pressure meds as my BP was fairly low today, but I just took it again at home and it seems in normal range. I continue to come close to Inbox Zero at work, and am in the process of reminding folks that I no longer support partner X and managing director Y so they can get used to my Jamaican successor doing things for the six folks I'm handing over to him. My new backpack isn't so lightweight any more and seems rather full, but I expect I'll be eliminating some things from transport after Thursday and, with any luck, I can store it all in a temporary locker at the close of business tomorrow. I'm filled with both excitement and trepidation, not sure which will win.
