Made It!

While our "leader of the free world" was stuck on an escalator, I was figuring out how to get out of Dodge-- er, Manhattan in a reasonable period of time, as almost all the midtown streets (especially on the east side) were cordoned off with cops stationed everywhere due to the UN General Assembly. Thank goodness it's Rosh Hashanah or it really would have been a madhouse. At least the morning commute was zippy! So I managed to exit the office around 4 and got home before 6, which was a pleasant surprise. Tomorrow I get to work from home, and it looks like I can take a few PTO hours every day except Thursday (my next in-office day) to eat up my use-it-or-lose-it-by-30 September allotment.
