Silly Site o' the Day

A very nice and fun day. We left around 9:30 for a reconnaissance mission to our local Costco to check out their optical department. Perhaps we shouldn't have opted to become Costco members first, as we were very underwhelmed by everything from the membership clerk immediately trying to upsell us to the fact that the optometrist isn't even associated with the store to my insurance not being accepted there to the place itself just being... meh. The checkout person at Stew Leonard's, where we wound up as a sort of therapeutic antidote (and it was just what we needed, we had a lot of fun there!) assured us that not all Costco warehouses were like that one, so now that we're members maybe we'll try one in NJ or CT one day, but this was not that day. The three hours away from my work keyboard did me a world of good, and the cherry on top was seeing Aaron Judge tie the American League home run record while his mom and the other record holder's son looked on and embraced. Considering Judge is only 30, he's probably accomplished his fair share of what one is supposed to accomplish when one is 35.
