Silly Site o' the Day

Because yesterday was a stay-at-home day prepping for October's company (as I suspect most weekend days from now on will be), we took care of errands today. Shopping was okay, but the mall was more or less a wasted trip. After consulting with Macy's customer service we decided not to pursue getting replacements for the two Gibson Soho Lounge red and white bowls because they only come in a set and we'd have to send back the entire box and besides which it's out of stock everywhere now anyway, although if we wanted to buy another set I'd go for the reversed colors, but I really don't, all I want is two bowls to match the broken ones in one of the boxes we bought last December... Ah well, not worth it. And we didn't have much joy at Target, although I did buy a new shower curtain and liner, and new bathroom rugs. Tomorrow we work on opening up enough space in our coat closet for our guests' outerwear, and continuing to purge stuff elsewhere in our 750 square feet. Little by little, we're getting there! The catalogs are starting to show holiday stuff, but unfortunately in this country the decorative Christmastime bird is the cardinal rather than the robin as it is in England. I don't know how either of these sit with John Oliver, who can't be arsed with any damn bird anyway:
