With any luck this is the last day of the current heat wave, and temperatures (and dew points!) are slated to be more normal for the next week or so. This bodes well for my visit to Mom next week and subsequent staycation day. Maybe I'll even recover enough energy to do some cooking again, albeit without automatic onion peelers:
