Things at the courthouse just keep getting me more stressed. We finally went into the courtroom and learned a bit about the trial. It's a murder trial, my least favorite as a pacifist (I've been a juror on a trial like that in the past and it was not a positive experience), and the judge also said that, as of tomorrow, the mask mandate in the courthouse will be lifted and if anyone had a problem with that they should raise their hand. And for whatever reason I decided to tough it out. So I have to come back for one more day because I didn't have the courage of my convictions. As soon as I got home I piled right into the car, with Robin's help, and drove to the local urgent care place to get a mandatory COVID-19 PCR test prior to next Monday's procedure. First one I've ever gotten! Hoping for a negative result, especially considering all the unmasked folks around me on crowded buses (today's was the worst!). I mean, if they're not going to wear a mask they should at least consider flowers in their beards.
