One of the better perks of my job is that I support really nice partners, some of whom reward me during the holidays. This year I'm a few hundred bucks richer than I'd expected, as two partners sent me Amazon gift cards (my preferred gift during These Adjectival Times) and another Venmo'ed me some cash. And Robin surprised the heck out of me with a "do it yourself Reuben sandwich" kit direct from Katz's, which of course makes the best pastrami, and rye, and sauerkraut, and a whole bunch of other things. Someday post-pandemic I'll finally take Robin there. During his assembly a neighbor came to pick up all the old jackets he'd shrunk out of to distribute to hospital patients, so those three bags full are finally out of the house. Next week I tackle two closets and go through all the clothing I believe no longer fits me, like all the button-down blouses I haven't worn since March 2020 and the fancier stuff (such as it is), which will be recycled to RewearAble. Gotta have decent projects during a pandemic when you'd rather be going places and visiting folks during your week off. But, you know, it's the winter anyway, so I'm not terribly fond of going out. Traditions change, you know? Like look at these vintage creepy Christmas cards...
