So I figured out that if I heel-walk on my left leg I can navigate the house without pain, allowing the affected areas to heal a bit. Now of course other bits of me are aching, but it's a good tradeoff to be able walk without a cane. And with this heat wave (and these sudden afternoon storms) it's not like we're going anywhere for the foreseeable. So why don't we all have a pretend cookout instead:
