Well, I thought Christmas dinner was wonderful, but my hand didn't agree. Cutting root vegetables, especially that rutabaga (which needed the big knife), did in my left wrist and smaller fingers (probably some tendon or other) so I'm now braced up at the elbow. Damned nuisance, it means I can't do the somewhat extensive washing-up now. Other than that it was a pleasant day, got in a few more versions of A Christmas Carol and a few more QI episodes (we're now up to 2018, not bad) and enjoyed a much more typical Christmas together than I suspect most people have. It's started to come in cold, so I suspect tomorrow will be another indoor-only day, resting my left arm. In the meantime, have a Yule log courtesy of the White Stripes:
