Very strange watching Jeopardy this evening knowing Alex Trebek has passed, but as everyone says it's probably what he would have wanted. This morning we retrieved all my personal belongings, contact-free, from the office. Facilities came to the loading dock and just put the boxes in the car, we were there for maybe five minutes then hightailed it out of Manhattan (the northbound drive along the West Side Highway was much better than the southbound one!) and I got home at like 8:45 AM, well in time to put in a full day of work. Glad I got to see the local fall foliage three mornings in a row, and that my knee is about 98% better now, but I've backslid before so I have no plans to traverse those 28 stairs up and down for at least the rest of the week now.
