Now that the knee is manageable and the weather a bit nicer, I ventured out early this morning to get some fasting bloodwork done. The bus ride to the hospital (just over the Bronx/Manhattan border) was wift and safe, I felt very protected in the facility as well, but the bus back home was a bit to crowded for my liking and it was hard to keep my knee out of the way of fellow passengers. Still, glad that's done, and I actually received my results same-day; loving the 21st century! Next step, check with my current primary care provider (who's leaving next month) before choosing a new one closer to home and starting the rounds of "which specialists are in my neighborhood" because I don't work in Manhattan any more. Meanwhile, ballot counting continues, as it should considering how many millions of people chose to vote safely by mail this year, and Oreo's been hard at work:
