Silly Site o' the Day

Fortunately the snow didn't stick to more than the grass, which of course means the city sidewalks and roads were just fine. I took the west side bus and hobbled to the Marriott Times Square this morning, then the "E" train to work (two elevators and, alas, a set of stairs) to help give away annual appreciation gifts for four hours, then up to my desk to make sure my laptop had properly upgraded before Robin came in to escort me once again via the same subway back to the Marriott for our annual holiday party. We had a terrific time except, of course, for my knee issue. But Robin came up with a solution that appears to have worked, at least so far - I'm currently wearing the knee brace he wore overnight the last time he had a similar problem. I think I'd been wearing it for like 30 seconds when most of the pain just plain faded away. Wish I'd had it on for the party, and especially for the walk back from the Marriott to the Hilton to catch our bus home! But I am now, pardon the expression, braced for the rest of the week, except I can never seem to get used to the cold. Maybe I'll ask someone to crochet me the kind of hats these pets are wearing.
