Today was the first of two days when I've been assigned to do some work at a client site, this time in the Wall Street area. And I quickly remembered why I really, really don't like the Wall Street area, aside from it just plain giving me the willies ever since 11 September 2001. For one thing, it's a 2+ hour commute for me, whether taking the subway or express bus. For another, I was faced with summarizing lots of jargon-rich documents of which I felt I grasped only about 80%. What I wouldn't give for simplified, improved names for things (via BoingBoing)...
