No Time to Think

Even though I probably don't need to work much longer, I still like doing it, and find it helps take my mind off other things. That said, I could do with a bit less of it! I got almost 50 emails yesterday when I was out, and more kept coming in today to the point where I just about caught up by 3 PM. A fellow exec assistant who usually works at a client site came in today to help out with a campus recruiting event, and I got to show her around the new offices and have lunch with her, so that was fun. Tons and tons of folks offering condolences, and one of my partners even sent a lovely Harry & David gift box; I'll have to sit with her tomorrow to thank her, at the very least. As expected, I'm tuckered out now, but more or less ready to go back in tomorrow, especially as I left all my work stuff in my temporary locker so as not to have to schlep it home this evening or back tomorrow morning. Now I just need to sleep through the night.
