Payment Comes Due

Not sure if I picked up something in the supermarket yesterday or just exhausted myself with organizing stuff, but the Ides of September were not kind to me today. Something was wrong with my mouth, or my throat, or my eyes, or whatnot. I've been drinking hot tea and resting in between work stuff to try and let it run its course, but it doesn't bode well for the week to come. Negative on the COVID, using up our next-to-last test, so that record remains intact at least. I'm sure my adrenaline will kick in tomorrow morning in time for my AM commute...
