Silly Site o' the Day

A nice quiet day spent mostly at home after yesterday's travel. We did do our perishable-grocery shopping, and I was disappointed to see so many unmasked folks at the supermarket. There were tons yesterday but it was central Jersey so I expected some idiots. Yonkers is usually smarter. It's almost like everyone's decided that since they're double-vaxxed (or, in our case, even boostered) the danger is over, but you never know how many others aren't and to whom they could be spreading a highly contagious variant. I'm still planning on seeing my college buddies next Saturday as I'm about as safe as I can be without continuing to almost totally sequester myself, but it's like others have just plain given up and it's sad. It's almost like this is what we Americans now do. We used to just be satire-challenged, but now it feels like so many of us are reality-challenged as well...
