It finally cooled down enough for us to do a decent and comprehensive grocery shopping trip, between the time when the morning rain stopped and the evening storms were slated to begin. Nothing at all this afternoon, but we couldn't count on that so I took a long lunch and got 'er done. So nice to have a full fridge again! But weirdly, all the fruit we were able to find a couple weeks ago is now gone. No peaches, no cherries, it's like the supermarket decided It's Going To Be Autumn and That's That. I also found out Mom needs us to come down and take her to a medical appointment next week, so I've got the day off work and maybe the NJ supermarket will have what we couldn't find up here. Or maybe I'll just learn alla bout how to cut and serve cheese:
