No way can I force myself to stay awake for the entire Yankees/Twins wild card playoff game. It's like 7-4 in favor of the Yankees now, so I'm retiring. My annoyance at sportscasting's new tendency to play both live action and ads at the same time (with the ad screen way bigger than the live action screen), as they did this evening, is somewhat mitigated by people's inability to draw corporate logos to exact specifications. Does this mean we're not brainwashed all the way, or just that by and large we have no artistic talent?
