Via Robin, who got it from Leonard Kirk on Facebook, today is the day when many Americans get drunk celebrating what most Mexicans don't, but when Brits go to the polls - specifically to vote on the idea of proportional representation (which for some odd reason is being termed AV, not audiovisual but Alternative Voting, in much the same way nonsuperhero comics have been called Alternative even though they represent more mainstream genres). AV and PR are two entirely different voting systems. that's why it's called AV 'cause that's what it is!
Alas, it didn't pass in any case, so it matters not what they called it now...
