Plumb Tuckered

The accelerated deadline for time and expense submission was indeed announced, but not until like 1 PM today. Good thing I'd prepared! Everything was in by the end of the day, with tons of virtual interruptions from colleagues asking me questions or needing things from me. Even had to blow off my retiring partner by asking if we could touch base one last time on Monday instead of today, as I powered through all my submissions. I got a very good year end review from my supervisor, which I'd been hoping for, and plans are underway for The Great Partner Shuffle as other exec assistants have "opted in" (deciding to leave the firm) and the partners they support have to go somewhere. It's the old adage, do a good job and they'll reward you by giving you more to do! And yet, it's still the best place I've ever worked in my career and I'm there until they no longer want my services. Yankees won today, Mets lost, so hoping both teams win the last two games of the regular season and sail into the post-season (but in the Mets' case I'm really not expecting it). Big day in NJ tomorrow, so off to bed!
