Friday the 13th Done Fall on a Mom Day

Today I visited Mom in the long-term care facility in NJ. It wound up being a lovely day for a drive, fortunate as I went alone, and I smartly parked by the back entrance so I didn't have to worry about endlessly looking for a space. More indoor walking, essentially through the entire facility, but most of it was pleasant and air conditioned so no complaints. Mom seemed to be in good spirits, although I have the feeling I tired her out a bit, but overall it was a lovely visit, and I was back home long before these evening thunderstorms began. Mets and Yankees are currently both in a rain delay, and part of me hopes that turns into postponed games the way they've been playing, but perhaps I'm just being too cynical.
