Powerless

So apparently Consolidated Edison was working on emergency repairs for whatever went wrong the last time we lost power, and caused another power loss. I'd just called Mom, and shortly before that Robin mentioned he had another prescription waiting for him at our pharmacy in Yonkers, so we had a ready-made excuse to leave the house, sail through Wednesday traffic (another reason I like taking Wednesdays off in the summer!), pick up his meds, and grab some lunch at our favorite conveyor belt sushi place before returning to... no power yet. It finally came on about a half hour after our return, but thank goodness for a car with air conditioning! Now my main concern is having enough energy to catch my breath properly again; I was so winded after the outside flight of stairs I had to stop before climbing the inside flight, and that's not like me. Not sure it's the heat or my age...
