Friday Visitation

Today we drove out to the NJ mountains to spend a bit of time with Mom in the long-term care facility. A very pleasant visit, even if the drive home tires me out, especially going through the GW Bridge approach. But the weather was pleasant, if a bit cold, so today really was the best day to visit, and I have a whole weekend to recover before deciding whether to venture out again on Monday. Tomorrow is our usual grocery shopping, and if the rain isn't too bad I want to take the car in on Sunday for an oil change and overall winter safety check (maybe I can order those wheel rims before the idiot's tariffs go into effect) but aside from that I suspect we'll be spending lots of time relaxing. I logged onto my work laptop briefly to grab and print out my pay stub, but I'm starting to get the hang out of leisure time, even with the insomnia.
