Comfy in the Deep Freeze

As far as we know, the landlord hasn't mucked with the boiler again, so we've been comfortable much of the day. We decided to have my birthday sushi a couple days early at our favorite conveyor belt place Kura, and enjoyed it muchly even though their tech wasn't quite working. Not too much to get at the supermarket, and we were back home in the warm by early afternoon. No plans to go anywhere tomorrow, the day I've designated for putting out the holiday decorations. Mom continues to plug along in the long term care facility, she seemed almost happy when we spoke today. We are apparently in documentary mode now, having watched Beatles 1964, a surprisingly interesting overview of "yacht rock," and a program called Made in England about a pair of British filmmakers in whose work I have very little interest in watching but the docu still held my interest; and I actually made some headway on Outlander (almost through with season 6 now!). I think I'm more than ready now to go back to my Disney princess niche...
