Terrific day today, as my godson was in town for a couple weeks, up from Florida, and picked me up so we could see my uncle (his grandfather) and cousin (his godfather) who live about 15 minutes away a couple neighborhoods over. It's first time he's seen both godparents at the same time in awhile, so we had to commemorate that with a photo. Then after he drive me home he stuck around in the 90-degree heat to wait for my neighbor to pick up my comics from the car of my trunk so I can actually use the vehicle tomorrow to go up to Rockland County for lunch with other cousins. Bless this guy, he actually picked up all eight heavy shopping bags and put them in the car service so my neighbor didn't have to! And the driver was very nice and gave me her card for the next time we want to get to the airport. Robin's meat-scorching itch hadn't totally been scratched, so for dinner we had more of the same as yesterday's feast, and now I'm beyond exhausted thanks to just a few minutes in that heat. But what a fun day. And since I know my godson will appreciate it, have some Tenacious D:
