An icky, rainy day, but amazingly I got quite a few things accomplished considering how I feel. I actually beat the timing I had in my head. First, I took the car in for an oil change, and while that was going on I walked a few blocks down to the post office to mail out the rent check and my credit card payment, and to purchase some holiday stamps. By the time I returned to the auto shop the change and safety check was complete, and I drove up by where we used to live to purchase the cards to go with the holiday stamps. Everything was done by 10 AM, and after watching the US begin losing in the World Cup knockout round we did our grocery shopping, which was all finished before noon! So I had the afternoon to nap, recover from being outside, and hope this cold goes away soon. I wish I could dream like Mabel does:
