Silly Site o' the Day

As the weather cools a bit the apartment cools far more, so we've started the Running of the Space Heaters, much less dangerous than the Running of the Bulls. We're also hoping the Running of the Zed becomes a bit safer, as his pet steps arrived today. Now all the boxes are gone from the living room, his cat tower is moved next to the TV cabinet so he can safely clamber up to the top of the cabinet and the bookcase (and our liquor table remains intact), and he can once more get to the living room window for those few occasions where we'll be opening it in the next half a year or so. The other bad thing about the cooling is how it exacerbates my body aches; right now it's the left wrist (wearing a wrist brace overnight) and the tendon that goes from my right deltoid down to the elbow. I keep saying "this too shall pass" but it doesn't really help when I'm in pain. It's kinda like the Yankee games; I have no illusions they'll beat the Houston Astros this year so it's like "just put them out of their misery." I wonder if a crocheted beard will help keep me warm...
