Silly Site o' the Day

What a weirdly exhausting day. I took a vacation day, my first Friday PTO in awhile, to actually go into the office for an Exec Assistant Appreciation lunch, attended by the head of administration (I'd forgotten she lives in Long Island); the NY Office Managing Partner with whom I've been working because, I guess, once in OMP, always in OMP; and about two dozen or so of my colleagues. So good seeing everyone again, and I trusted both the firm's rules on vaccinations and my bivalent booster (with its lingering black and blue mark) enough to even hug a few of them. And the OMP actually gave me an unexpected shout-out for helping her this past summer, which was nice. I went home with one of the centerpieces, thanks to my partner who's in-office every day and who had some small bags in which to carry it, but unfortunately the express bus driver drove very jarringly and I was pretty bus-sick when I got home. Couldn't even go on the bike, and had no wherewithal to clean up my email in time to hit the ground running on Monday. I wonder if any of these wild-caught veggies would soothe my stomach.
