Silly Site o' the Day

I ventured out, masked and with a hat and walking stick, to our local Pride party early this afternoon. Alas, no place to sit so I could only stand and lean on my cane for about 20 minutes before walking back home, but it was so cool to see so many kids enjoying themselves! The one downside was that it was so crowded and nobody was masked except me. People aren't getting that you're not just supposed to be masked indoors, you need to don one if you're in a crowd. But I see one massive sporting event or concert or convention after another featuring non-masked folks, and they wonder why the transmission level is so high. I'm so friggin' tired of COVID, but COVID doesn't care. So for the most part I remain masked when I leave my house or my car. It's the new abnormal. We just can't count on people who use beestings as an alternative to collagen to give a damn about community health...
