Silly Site o' the Day

It's gone! It's been less than two weeks since I lost the battle with the mandolin, and today the finger bandage finally came off! The bit of skin flap under it peeled off easily after tonight's shower, and there's a bit of a dark area but otherwise I now have full regular use of my left thumb again, and can once more tie my shoes without getting a bandage caught and do the washing up without rubber gloves and even snap my fingers, should I need to. I no longer feel like such a compound pejorative!
