I do feel rested after my 9 days off; maybe next time I won't be saddled with body aches and I can actually enjoy a shutdown week. Doubtful as the next one is, of course, between Christmas and New Year's, prime illness time for me even before the pandemic. We shopped early today when it was safest and coolest (car windows open both ways, apartment windows open until at least noon); if I still had anything approaching a yard or veranda or porch I'd have spent a lot of time outside! Absolutely lovely day, and now I'm ready to move forward with job stuff and vacation days on my own time, none of which will involve going to movies like these strange people:
