Despite not being able to put weight on my right foot without weird toe pain (I swear, the toe that hurt is usually numb with neuropathy!), I took 90 minutes or so off at the start of the day so Robin and I could get Zed checked out at a nearby vet. The place kept us waiting longer than I'd like, but much of that was probably COVID protocols. Turns out he has a luxating patella or two, which explains the weak bag legs, and a slight heart murmur about which the vet wasn't that concerned, otherwise a clean bill of health! So it looks like the status is quo, which is a good thing, and he's vaxxed up to boot which is never bad, and the cost was extremely reasonable which is one of the reasons (besides parking) we went to Yonkers instead of locally in the Bronx. I finished up two major projects at work, so I can just concentrate on my regular time and expense submission tomorrow for the ten folks I now support. Now if only my foot will behave maybe I can have a restful weekend. Next up, new eyeglasses when the pandemic slows again; if it's good enough for chickens it's good enough for me!
