Well, today I really paid for what I did yesterday, from the lack of sleep to the forced-wakefulness while driving to the caramel popcorn I ingested on the drive home. Particularly the latter. The reading room was my best friend, and I spent much of the day in bed catching up on graphic novels before settling in to watch the Oscars. For the most part I was pleased with how things came out, the three female hosts, lots of industry "firsts" among the winners, but I know all that will be spoiled by a minute or so of toxic masculinity, both in punching down and slapping upside. It's like Certain People didn't get the point of having female hosts. Oh well, I don't have a horse in this race, except that it ruined any joke anyone might have been able to make about The Dress That Looked Like Kale. Me, I'm more into felt waffles:
