As 2022 unfolds I find myself bereft of another friend, someone with whom I'd lost close touch and thus, despite us being "Facebook friends," I had no idea she was suffering from Parkinson's as well as other medical conditions. And now she's gone. I think we're all going to emerge from this pandemic, blink, look around, and wonder what we've lost that we'll never have back. But I suppose that's when we start to make new memories and hug our friends again so they know how much we love them. Then we'll all be able to pass the ball:
