Silly Site o' the Day

There's ice all over the tree branches today. It looks both breathtakingly beautiful and somewhat deadly. Fortunately there was no need to go anywhere. I spent the day catching up on the local weekly newspaper, watching the Olympics, and using the stovetop for both breakfast and dinner. The latter was rather spur-of-the-moment and involved cooking a couple vegetables that had been involved in a spillage. Last time I store a needs-refrigeration Rx in a veggie bin! I'm sure I caught the burst packaging quickly, thoroughly cleaned the bin with Robin's help, and washed everything off very well before cooking, but tomorrow will tell. You can't ignore this sort of thing like folks ignore these other bits of cooking "wisdom."
