Silly Site o' the Day

All things considered I believe I made the right decision to keep my dental appointment for my crown fitting this morning. It was probably one of the most unpleasant sessions I've had, including all that gum work when I was in my 30s. Almost two hours of having to open very wide (it's tooth #2, all the way in the back by the wisdom tooth) whilst tilted beyond horizontal and the assistant leaning on my bad left shoulder and sticking the cleaning tube right up to my palate, blocking off my ability to exhale, and the dentist recommending I try to meditate to calm myself and unclench my muscles. But I think the worst of it is over, and I have a whole week to recover until I have to work again. In two weeks I go in for the permanent crown and a cleaning. But I'm definitely shook up in the short term. Might go for a walk if my head clears. At least there's no gum pain, as the dentist warned there would be. And I have Robin to help me get through this. Modern love is wonderful.

Well, if you ever need a recommendation for a good dentist the person I found last year is incredible. She did amazing work on me and that’s saying something considering the way I came to her. Oddly enough, I went and got my first implant put in yesterday at the oral surgeon she sent me to and that too was astounding because it was nowhere near what I thought it would be... I'm sore today but it was painless and super fast! Good to stay on top of those things regardless though, sorry you had a bad time. Thank you so much for your lovely card and for thinking of me. I did not send out anything this year but I am glad you both are surviving the pandemic.
