Other exec assistants' partners tend to take this entire week off, going into our firm-wide shutdown on Thursday through New Year's Day, but not mine. Mine use this short week to pack five days into three, and take me right along with them! Good job I'm up to the task. Besides, I'd much rather be busy than bored on the job. So today was jam-packed, particularly as I had forgotten to set my alarm and I never quite woke up the way I wanted to. It did help that I won Drag Bingo at our our chapter's Pride@KPMG holiday celebration tonight (woo-hoo, an Amazon gift card)! The drag queen was fabulous, and she would never have stood for any of these ridiculously gendered products. Now my immediate goal is to get through our grocery shopping tomorrow, not to mention whatever my folks have in store for me tomorrow and Wednesday.
