We woke up early again, not by choice (our sleep cycles are really disturbed of late), but this meant we were out of the house by 5:40 in order to make the 6:00 supermarket opening. This morning's shop was frightening. Most folks wore masks and tried to keep their distance, except for one employee who insisted COVID was "not that serious" as I recoiled away from him then, when I asked him where something was, informed me "I don't work here" because my 6-foot rule had personally offended him. Still pissed about that one. But it was mostly that there were so MANY people choosing to do their Thanksgiving shopping at 6 AM on a Friday during a pandemic. It almost felt like a regular weekday shop pre-COVID. Glad we're home and sheltering in place once more! Among other things for which I'm thankful this season is Robin's ability to shop like, you know, a normal human being, as opposed to these men.
