I think this has been my first pain-free day in terms of the knee. No brace, almost no twinges, I'm walking normally, the swelling isn't noticeable any more... I'm definitely getting better! Of course it's going to rain today and tomorrow so I don't intend on going out until Saturday, but I may actually get my Hallowe'en trip to Macy Park this year!! And it's amazing what you can do when you're not preoccupied with pain. Got washing up done in two rooms (kitchen and bathroom), emptied the small trash bins, actually folded my blankets on the bed, put away all the clothing that didn't need to be out, whizzed through my workday, even started feeling creative enough to want to start writing again, but all of that's dependent on what sort of country we're left with after next Tuesday. In any case, I'll take small victories and relief where I can find it, particularly as I can feel my energy starting to sag now that the sun's gone down. Thank goodness the heat situation remains good and the landlord hasn't mucked it up again yet. Oh, did I mention I cooked tonight? Because I really don't want to wind up in this situation.
