We had a wonderful time today with our friends Tom and Lili from CT! The foliage along the Merritt Parkway was pretty but not as far along as I'd hoped, I think we're still a week or two from peak. Maybe NJ on Monday will be better. But the company was terrific! We went to an amazing liquor warehouse (neither Robin nor I are big drinkers so I just got a bottle of plum wine and we scored some airline-sized samples of various libations to try out) and a wonderful sushi place, and I sat with Tom for a bit going over how he's currently hosting INSIDE JOKE and Four-Alarm FIRESIGNal on his servers with a plan to transfer them over to Soulmate Productions once we get our website act together again (it's been over a half dozen years since my last attempt). Mostly we just enjoyed each other's company. Much less enjoyable is the way the Yankees are giving up the season, but I'm kind of over them this year; see my upcoming essay for why. In the meantime, be sure and tip your waiters!
