Today's good news is that I don't have any form of shingles, it's just an inflamed cornea (herpetic simplex keratitis). THe bad news is, it took almost two hours to get through my appointment in my ophthalmologist's Manhattan office, and the meds he "called in' to the pharmacy are nowhere to be found, so that's tomorrow's battle. But Robin helped me bring my laptop home and I'm not moving (except to see the eye doc again Thursday morning) for the foreseeable future. Just hope I can get through the workday tomorrow with only one good eye against a very bright screen. I"m not quite frustrated enough to do this:

Elayne, I am so very sorry you are dealing with this. I’ve had eye problems of my own over the last couple of years and it seems as if I sailed through those stormy waters but it was challenging to say the least. I am glad you are on the mend though and hang in there, the steroids and other stuff will kill it and you’ll be back to normal before you know it. Sending good thoughts your way!
