As predicted, today was a lot quieter, and I was able to jump-start my social life (or "network" as the kids are calling it) by making plans to get together with ex-coworkers in September and ex-INSIDE JOKEsters (and longtime friends) in October. Also spent some time on the firm's educational site taking a course from eight years ago about LGBT (or, as they called it back then, GLBT) inclusion and acceptance. Got a few spot questions wrong because so much has changed since 2010! But it was a good reminder that there is an inevitable march toward human progress, albeit slowed down quite a bit in the last couple of years. And sometimes people can get predictions wrong.
