The foot may be temporarily lousy (although still better out of the boot than in it), but my diabetes control is A-1 (or A1C for those of you who get the joke)! My doc is very happy with me, and somewhere along the line (maybe due to last week's illness?) I lost about a dozen pounds, so I'm close to the weight I was at in 2000 before my myomectomy, which for some odd reason makes me happy. I didn't set out to lose weight but I do know I feel slightly more energetic when I'm lighter (theoretically, since I'm somewhat immobilized by the foot issue at the moment). So this is all I have to say to my body today:
