What an amazing weekend. "I'm remembering it all now..." So great to get together with old friends from half a lifetime ago! Robin and I left Pennsylvania Dutch country a bit later than we'd planned, and all went fine until the last Turnpike tolls when we ran smack into the crowd getting out from the Jets game at MetLife Stadium, which compounded the traffic into the GWB, so a 2.5 hour journey was lengthened by an hour. Came home, ate a bit, watched all the Jeterian tribute stuff we'd DVR'ed, and am more than ready to collapse after a rewarding weekend. No regrets that we didn't leave a bit earlier (although had I known I'd just taken 78 to 278 to 80 and bypassed that whole Turnpike nonsense), because thanks to Jill and Robin Anna's smartphone is once more working correctly to the point where she can read and send emails, hear notification tones, download apps from the Google Play store, wallop me in Words with Friends, and even check out this blog via her browser. Can her return as an online raconteur to match her IJ glory days be far behind? I hope not! In honor of her continued adjustment to 21st century magic, here's BoingBoing with some classic paintings into which iPads and iPhones have been inserted.
